Create a place-value worksheet at one clear level. Choose a whole-number size or a separate decimal level, then make questions about digit values and expanded form.
Adjust the question count, paper size, and working space. Preview the worksheet before printing or saving its generated PDF, and keep the matching answer key for checking afterward.
Keep the place and the value separate
If a question asks for the value of the digit in a named place, answer with its amount. In 4,572, the hundreds digit is 5 and its value is 500. For an expanded-form question, show the nonzero place-value parts: \(4{,}000 + 500 + 70 + 2\).
Use one extension at a time
Secure tens and ones before moving to hundreds or larger whole numbers. Choose decimals when the learner is ready to distinguish tenths, hundredths, and thousandths. Generate another version at the same level when a fresh set will help confirm understanding.
