Build whole-number and fraction skills with room to explain the steps. Fourth-grade selections include larger whole-number addition and subtraction, long division with one-digit divisors, fraction equivalence, and early fraction operations.
Use the grade preset as a starting point, then adjust the challenge to the learner. The fraction selections distinguish like-denominator addition and subtraction from multiplying a fraction by a whole number.
Choose a focused fourth-grade task
- Add and subtract larger whole numbers using place-value reasoning.
- Practice long division with a one-digit divisor, including remainders when ready.
- Recognize equivalent fractions and explain why their values match.
- Add or subtract like-denominator fractions, or multiply a fraction by a whole number.
For 1/5 + 2/5, three fifth-size parts give 3/5. For 2/5 × 3, three groups give 6/5. Keep the operation and its meaning clear before choosing another level.
Unlike-denominator, fraction-by-fraction, decimal, and signed options on shared pages extend into later work.
