Make multiplication, division, and fraction ideas visible. Use equal groups and related facts to explain products and quotients, then connect simple fractions with positions and equal parts.
These selections also offer whole-number addition and subtraction within 1,000. Choose the level for the skill being practiced; a shared worksheet page may include later extensions that are not the third-grade starting point.
Begin with relationships
- Use times-table and exact division facts within 100.
- Locate points on number lines with quarter-unit steps.
- Compare equivalent fractions using denominators 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
- Review addition and subtraction within 1,000 when needed.
The fact 6 × 7 = 42 also explains 42 ÷ 6 = 7. For fractions, keep the whole the same size: 1/2 and 3/6 are equivalent. Ask for a drawing or a short explanation before using the answer key.
